A New Kind of Home Service
Those of us fortunate enough to have vacation homes
in Highlands know how difficult it can be to find people
to pay attention to details in our absence. For this reason,
I operate Details, an innovative, local approach to the care
and service of your home.
Services Offered
- Expert Cleaning
- Available weekly, monthly, or as a brief tidying before
you, your renters, or your guests arrive in town. I will
gladly perform anything from light cleaning to comprehensive
spring or fall cleaning. Have a home that is currently for
sale? I will come in and see that your spaces glow for showing.
I will also clean after your home is sold and the moving
company has finished packing your belongings.
- Home Check
- A visual inspection of your home to make certain that
all is well. During this visit, I will also check your faucets,
toilets, and exterior spigots for leaks. If something is out
of order, I will contact you and, if you wish, the appropriate
repair person. This service is available weekly, monthly, or
by request.
- Repair Supervision
- Nervous that the service technician whom you hired
hasn’t completed the job or done satisfactory work? I
will check on the progress and state of completion for you,
providing photographs as you wish. If you need a good hand
and I can’t do the work myself, I’ll find someone
who can.
- Personal Shopper Service
- Available so that you don’t have to worry about
what’s for dinner when you first get into town, hours
after some local grocers have shut their doors. Need six filets
or breakfast delectables to be waiting in the fridge for you?
I’ll take care of it.
- Vacation Rental Cleaning and Inventory
- This service is available to both private homeowners who
handle their own vacation rentals and real estate
professionals.
- Clutter Control
- Need those closets and drawers organized but don’t
have the time or the inclination to take care of the clutter
yourself? I’ll do the job for you.
- The Extra Details
- Want fresh flowers in your home when you, guests, or
renters arrive? Need your entry pots or planted beds spruced
up? I can take care of that, too.

Why Details?
My family began its love affair with Highlands in the
summer of 1976 and bought its first property here in 1978. My
parents have operated one home as a weekly vacation rental for
twenty-eight years and recently added another, in addition
to having a private vacation home here. With three Highlands
properties to manage and maintain, the key issue has always been
finding competent people to pay attention to details in their
absence.
Because of my own and my parents’ experiences here in
Highlands, I feel strongly that other property owners with particular
taste share our frustration in finding good people who will
actually pay attention to details in our homes.
